2026-2027 Registration
Registration for RETURNING STUDENTS starts April 13, 2026.
Parents/Guardians of all District 148 students must register their child/children ONLINE for the upcoming school year. (2026-2027) The online process is quick and easy. Registration forms must be SUBMITTED AND APPROVED before your student can attend in the fall. Students entering Kindergarten must prove residency. The first day of school is August 19, 2026. All supporting documents for returning students can be turned in at our district offices (114 West 144th St. in Riverdale) Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 3 pm
Registration for NEW STUDENTS is open. You must complete the Pre-Registration form first. Once the Pre-registration form is approved, you will receive an email requesting completion of the online registration. There are no registration fees. New students must provide proof of residency and required documents on posted dates. Gym uniforms will be provided at no cost to families. ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED.
Required documents
· Driver's License or State of Illinois Identification Card
· Original birth certificate
· ISBE State Transfer Form (If previous school is in Illinois)
· Two of the following (with name, current address, and date, within 30 days)
o Leases are NOT accepted
o Mortgage Statement
o Real Estate Tax Bill
o Current Utility Bill (Electric or Gas)
o Cable TV/Dish Bill
o Telephone/Cell Phone Bill
o Village Water Bill
o Medicaid Card /w address included
o Current Payroll/Government Check with address/Pension Check
o 3 Business Letters (3 letters count as one proof and must be current within 30 days. This may include Bank Statement/Credit Card Statement/Doctor Bill/ Insurance Bill but not personal letters.)

All Preschoolers, Kindergartners, and 6th Graders must have an Illinois Physical including required vaccines.

All students entering an Illinois school for the first time are required to have an Illinois Physical.

Kindergartners also require a lead screening assessment, eye examination and dental examination.

Kindergarten, Second and Sixth graders also require a dental examination.
Registration for NEW PRE-K STUDENTS is open. There are no registration fees. Proof of residency is not required for returning students unless directed by administration. ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED. Parents/Guardians of ECC students can sign up for a screening appointment at registration. Anyone who will be three years old by September 1, 2026, can be registered/screened.
