Restorative Justice is a framework for building connections in the classroom and community while maintaining a safe, positive learning environment. Restorative Justice is used in all Dolton West School District 148 schools. Restorative Justice Practices enable us to respond to challenging behavior through dialog, listening, understanding and mending the harm. Classroom Peace Circles are the foundation of the Restorative Justice process. Peace Circles aid in cultivating a culture in which everyone feels they belong. Peace Circles build a sense of community in which every member feel they are seen, heard and respected.
