Each beginning teacher is assigned a buidling mentor. The building mentor is more than a "buddy". The mentor has been trained by GSU and is intended to be a professional development facillitator. The mentor will complete the program activities, conduct observations, and promote professional growth according to the Illinois Professional Teaching Standards
