DISTRICT NURSES PROVIDE THESE HEALTHY GUIDELINES:

 

Adults and children are advised to wash hands frequently, to sneeze or cough into the bend of their arm, and to stay home when sick.

Parents should keep their child home if he or she has any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever, temperature of 100.4 or greater
  • Cough
  • Headache
  • Chills
  • Vomiting/Diarrhea
  • Sore throat

Your child can come back to school when:

  • Normal temperature (98.6) is maintained for at least 24 hours without medication
  • Feeling better
  • No cough, chills, or sore throat
  • No vomiting
  • No diarrhea
