More than 300 students and staff from Harriet Tubman Elementary School in Dolton took a walk to one of their sister schools to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The so-called Great Strides: Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis event on Wednesday, April 14th had youngsters from all grade levels walking through the neighborhood as they made their way to and from Park Elementary School. Several students carried banners along the way.
Donations from sponsors resulted in Tubman School’s collection of about $500 which will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to find a cure for the life-threatening genetic disease.

The procession leaves Harriet Tubman School.

The walkers approach Park Elementary School.
