Students, families explore high school options

eighth grade language arts Teacher Erica Sims
 and seventh grade language arts Teacher Kathy Cherry.

Dolton West Elementary District 148 students looking ahead to high school had the chance to learn more about some area high schools during Lincoln Avenue School’s Sixth Annual High School Night.

Representatives from various local public and private high schools spoke with students and their families during the Tuesday, November 10th event at Lincoln.

Among those on hand to talk about their high schools was District 148 alum Prince Lowe. Lowe was the valedictorian of the Class of 1998 at Lincoln School as well as the Class of 2002 at Thornridge High School where he currently is on staff as a math teacher. Lowe represented the Dolton high school during High School Night.

Other secondary schools with information available to students and families during the event were Mount Carmel High School, Marian Catholic High School, Bishop Noll Institute, Illiana Christian High School, Seton Academy, Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, Brother Rice High School, St. Francis de Sales High School,  Leo Catholic High School, Marist High School,.St. Rita of Cascia, DeLaSalle Institute and Hales Francisan High School.
