Scientific Methods At Work

These elementary school students are among the many
who
created Science Fair projects and had them
judged at their schools on Tuesday, December 1st
.

Dolton West Elementary District 148 students have been busy these past few weeks, and in some cases months, working to answer some scientific questions.

Many have planned, tested and created science projects for inclusion in their school’s Science Fair.

The students have talked about purposes, hypotheses, materials, procedures, data, results and conclusions. They have come away from their projects with a better understanding of how science works and some of them are even more curious than they were before.

Fourth grade students at Franklin, Harriet Tubman, Riverdale, Lincoln, Park, Roosevelt and Washington Elementary schools completed their projects and had them judged on Tuesday, December 1st. One student from each building has been selected to present his or her project at the Jan. 28th Board of Education meeting.

The following students chosen to represent their schools at the January District 148 School Board meeting are:

  • Thristine C.
  • DeRonte P.
  • Jacobi D.
  • Khalid M.
  • Jordan G.
  • Qama’al W.
  • Curtis P.

These two students, above and below, are among those chosen to represent
their schools and present their Science Fair projects
at the Jan. 28th District 148 Board of Education meeting.
